Kauai Resort to Host Wine and Jazz Fest

Jazz and wine go together like peanut butter and jelly...or like a slack-key guitar and a relaxing beach. As such, the Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas will be presenting the inaugural 2010 Westin Princeville Jazz and Wine Festival on Saturday, September 25. Jazz fans can enjoy an evening of contemporary jazz, Kauai farm-to-table cuisine and sustainable, bio-dynamic wine on the resort’s main lawn from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. (We hear that chef Kahau Manzo—pictured, right—plans to serve braised short rib shumai with ginger slaw, soy reduction and shichimi aioli along with his popular Ahi poke lettuce wraps, wasabi crème fraiche, tobiko scallions. Delish!)

Tickets for this event are $95 per person. Even better: A portion of the proceeds will go to the Hawaii Hotel & Lodging Association’s 2011 Charity Walk, which benefits Kauai charitable organizations.
