Lanai Hotel Joins Aqua

Good news for those looking to find a hidden corner of Hawaii: Aqua Hotels & Resorts, a full-service Hawaii hotel management company, has announced the addition of Hotel Lanai to its portfolio, effective May 1.

Hotel Lanai was built in 1923, as a retreat for executives on business and important guests, by pineapple pioneer James D. Dole. It is located in the heart of Lanai City at an elevation of 1,700 feet.

Lanai is 141 square miles (13 miles wide by 18 miles long) and home to about 3,000 full time residents. Located nine miles off Maui’s west coast, it has just 29 miles of paved roads, a single gas station (but no stoplights) and miles upon miles of untouched, unspoiled valleys and beaches for residents and visitors to explore and enjoy.

Rates at Hotel Lanai start at $99 per night for a standard room and up to $179 per night for the cottage. Daily continental breakfast is included.
