Ka’anapali Beach Hotel Announces Three Important Hires
Ka’anapali Beach Hotel recently made three staffing announcements, including the promotion of John White to director of sales and marketing and the addition of Richard Pata as marketing manager and Jenny Greene as online sales and marketing manager.
In this role, White spearheads all global sales and marketing efforts for Ka’anapali Beach Hotel, its sister property, The Plantation Inn, and various food and beverage outlets.
White began his management role nearly five years ago with Ka’anapali Beach Hotel as associate director of sales and marketing, where he led key initiatives and worked across hotel leadership to validate and reinforce Hawaiian values through various programming.
His sharp intellect and strategic branding skills led him to be promoted to his current role as director of sales and marketing, a position he has held since 2014. In his position, White developed a revenue plan for Ka’anapali Beach Hotel, which increased the total sales by 20 percent year over year.
As Ka’anapali Beach Hotel’s marketing manager, Pata will spearhead Ka’anapali Beach Hotel’s marketing division and handle all marketing and creative needs for the beachfront hotel.
In her current position, Greene manages the hotel’s social media channels, online travel agent accounts and online reviews. Most recently, Greene spearheaded the launch of the property’s brand new, fully optimized website. In her new role, she looks forward to increasing brand awareness.
DoubleTree by Hilton Alana Waikiki Beach Names New Director of Sales
DoubleTree by Hilton Alana Waikiki Beach recently appointed Marjella Undine Homena Lasater to the position of director of sales.
She will be responsible for overall leadership of the sales and catering and events departments, focusing on leisure, group sales and catering for 2016 and beyond. She also will be involved in setting, monitoring, achieving goals and performance of the hotel through developing and managing market mixes.
Lasater has more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience in the hotel and resort industry, working with local, regional and international hotel chains for inbound and outbound markets for leisure and corporate accounts.
Most recently, Lasater was a manager in training at Anchorage Marriott Downtown, working in areas of front desk and sales. Previously, she was director of sales for Hyatt Regency Hotel and Casino Manila, where she led the 11-man sales team to reach room and catering revenue goals. She also was regional sales manager for Marco Polo Hotels and established the Manila Regional Sales Office for the hotel chain.
Turtle Bay Resort Welcomes New Resort Manager, Group Sales Manager
Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu, Hawaii, recently announced the new appointments of Brian Hunnings as resort manager and Darcie Patlidzanov as group sales manager.
As the resort manager, Hunnings is responsible for supporting the general manager in the overall management and strategic direction of the hotel.
Hunnings brings more than 25 years of hotel experience to his position including most recently, direction of hotel operations as executive assistant manager at Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa.
Prior to this position, Hunnings was the area food & beverage director for Starwood Hotels & Resorts overseeing F&B operations in Hawaii and Polynesia.
In the position of group sales manager, Patlidzanov is responsible for generating small to large group business from the western and southern states, plus the Hawaii market.
With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Patlidzanov was most recently the group sales manager for Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Waikiki after transitioning from guest services and front office management. Patlidzanov was born and raised in Mililani, Oahu.
