The Las Vegas Convention Center is set to receive a $737 million enhancement, which will include additional meeting rooms; a new front lobby to connect the North, South and Central halls; and a new 100,000-square-foot general session space. Existing space will be renovated and access to the convention center will be improved. An enclosed connection will be built between the convention center and the Monorail station. Construction is scheduled to begin later this year with a target completion date of 2010.
