Marina Bay Sands Opens in Phase One

Guests were welcomed for the first time to Marina Bay Sands on April 27 after a celebratory ribbon cutting ceremony held by Las Vegas Sands Corp. Chairman and CEO Sheldon G. Adelson.

The Singapore resort will open over the course of the year. Currently in its first phase, this debut included unveiling 963 rooms, parts of the shopping mall and convention center, some restaurants and bars, the Event Plaza and the casino.

The official grand opening is set for June 23, when the remaining 2,560 guest rooms will open along with more shops, dining and nightlife.
