Marriott International has signed a new hotel in Russia: the 220-room Voronezh Marriott Hotel. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2015 and will operate under a management agreement with Ojsc Tsum-Voronezh. The company currently operates 14 hotels across Russia.
Voronezh, located 310 miles south of Moscow, is a regional business hub where aviation, logistics and manufacturing are the mainstay industries. Tourism to the city is increasing given the city’s relative proximity to Moscow on the main transport route.
Located in downtown Voronezh on Prospekt Revolyutsii, the hotel will be part of a new development accommodating shops, office space and residential apartments. Prospekt Revolyutsii is the epicentre of Voronezh life; a historic avenue with cafés, restaurants and shops. Leisure facilities at the hotel will include a health club with fitness center, sauna, steam room and spa treatment rooms.
