TA3800HI05

After 15 years on Maui, the Maui Writers Conference hits the road with this year’s conference and retreat moving to the island of Oahu. As well as a new name—“Maui Writers Conference on the Road in Honolulu”— the conference will enjoy a new location in Waikiki, Oahu, and a new hospitality sponsor: Outrigger Enterprises Group.

The conference will be held at the Hawaii Convention Center from Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1.

The 2008 Maui Writers Conference on the Road in Honolulu will highlight the fields of fiction, nonfiction and screenwriting. Also scheduled this year are specialty workshops on the business of writing, children’s and young adult books, journalism, magazine writing, food and cookbook writing and poetry. As in years past, one-on-one consultations with agents, editors and publishers will be available during the conference. Visit www.mauiwriters.com
