New Director for Israel Government Tourist Office in Western USA

With his fourth overseas posting, veteran tourism leader Eliezer Hod has been appointed Director of the Israel Government Tourist Office (IGTO) in the Western United States.

Prior to this assignment, Hod served from 1979 to 1984 in Paris as the director of the IGTO for France, Spain, and Belgium.  Then, from 1989 to 1993, he worked in Atlanta as the director of the IGTO for the Southern United States and later served in London as the IGTO for the United Kingdom and Ireland between 1995 and 1999.

Although he was born in Spanish Morocco, Hod immigrated to Israel when he was 15, and later obtained a B.A. degree at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  In addition to the service mentioned above, he has experience in marketing and public outreach through his time working as the Director of Product Development for the Ministry in Jerusalem where he was in charge of publications and international travel trade exhibitions.
