Bahamas Express has launched a new ferry service Friday that transports clients 76 miles from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Grand Bahamas.
The service runs daily, except on Wednesday, with convenient schedules that allow clients from the U.S. to return on the same day after spending the day in Grand Bahama.
The ferry leaves Fort Lauderdale at 10 a.m., arriving in Grand Bahama at 12:30 p.m. while return ferries leave Grand Bahama at 7:30 p.m., arriving in Fort Lauderdale at 10 p.m.
A one-day trip is $49.50; a VIP one-day trip is $65; an economy ticket is $75 and a first class ticket is $90. There is a departure tax of $18. There is also an operational charge of $12.50. Children under six years old only pay the operational charge.
