New Health and Wellness Event on Kauai

The Island of Kauai will host Malama Ola, translated to "take care of life," a new healing and wellness event set for October 20-21. The event will take place at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa in Po`ipu, Kauai and aims to teach health-related practices drawn from the Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, and Indian cultures. Introduced as part of the 16th annual Hawaiiana Festival, Malama Ola will address indigenous healing traditions, health risks, antioxidants, physiology, yoga as a healing practice and nutritional cooking. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of classes offered for a fee.
