New Hotel Opens in South Africa with Star-Studded Bang

Question: What do Morgan Freeman, Matt Damon and Sharon Stone have in common? Well, besides being world-famous celebrities, the three were part of a select few—350, to be exact—who were invited to celebrate the opening of the 131-room One&Only Capetown. Word has it that this property—by South Africa’s Sol Kerzner, the man behind the recently opened Atlantis resort in Dubai—boasts some of the most expensive rooms in the country. The Scene: The hotel, which was built for more than $100 million, rests at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront with views of Table Mountain.

The biggest rooms go for a $4,000 price tag, which pales in comparison to the whopping $18 million someone forked over to purchase the penthouse on the top floor. Guests can also expect restaurants by notorious Chef Gordon Ramsay.
