New Ideas for Girls’ Getaways in Las Vegas

Concierge service Vegas Girls Night Out, launched by Las Vegas native Bri Steck in 2015, has an all-female staff designing packages that appeal to women, whether for bachelorette parties, birthdays or a girls’ getaway.

Steck tells us she came up with the idea for Vegas Girls Night Out when she realized that many of her out-of-town family members and friends kept coming to her for help in planning their trips to Las Vegas. Originally, she ran dance classes for women at a school she opened in 2012, but when those women needed help navigating the city, she began planning parties. Through trial and error she created packages that would eventually become the primary focus for Vegas Girls Night Out.

“We haven’t really found anyone else that just focuses on women,” Steck said. “Men and women buy differently. Women know what women want,” she says of her all-women staff.

Steck’s husband, Adam Steck, owns SPI Entertainment, the Las Vegas production company responsible for producing shows such as “Human Nature: Jukebox,” “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth,” “Boyz II Men,” “Divas Las Vegas” and Australia’s “Thunder from Down Under.” The Stecks saw the opportunity for a partnership and Vegas Girls Night Out was formed as a branch of SPI Entertainment. Thanks to SPI Entertainment’s longtime relationship with casinos on the Strip,  Vegas Girls Night Out had an in to build relationships with the hottest hotels and casinos in the city.

Vegas Girls Night Out creates packages that come from the demand for a certain experience. Once the idea for the package is created, the company focuses on how to keep the price point as low as possible, what can be added to the package that clients will enjoy and what special discounts Vegas Girls Night Out can include that travelers can’t get from other companies. Through its partnerships, Vegas Girls Night Out travelers receive exclusive experiences; for example, for groups going out for dinner during their Vegas Girls Night Out experience (which includes a free drink), reservations are made prior to trip departure, a prix fixe menu and food orders are decided on and travel arrangements to and from the restaurants are secured to ensure the travelers don’t miss their show. Meals are also paid for in advance, gratuity included, so everything is taken care of prior to the dinner.

Packages are customizable and can be built à la carte if necessary.Of the company’s 10 pre-designed programs, the most popular are Thunderstorm Through Vegas, Girls Night Outback and Gimme More, where guests receive a ticket to see Britney Spears live at Planet Hollywood, a ticket to Australia’s “Thunder from Down Under” at Excalibur and VIP entry and drink packages at six clubs on the Las Vegas strip. The “Glamour Girl” offers clients a makeover complete with hair and makeup before a night out in the town. Vegas Girls Night Out can arrange airport and hotel transfers as well as hotel stays.

Steck’s company originally focused on FIT travelers, though now they’re developing a new groups department that caters to travel agents and larger groups. Parties who book through an agent usually get an added incentives, like posters or other take-home goodies, says Steck.

Vegas Girls Night Out offers two separate opportunities — Affiliates and Referral Programs — for agents to earn commission on sales of certain productions. Applications to join the programs are available via the Vegas Girls Night Out website.

In addition to continuing the growth of its groups department, Vegas Girls Night Out is expanding its brand with the inclusion of new shows that will appeal to more widespread demographics (like the current Human Nature: Jukebox production) in the near future.

More Girlfriend Getaway Options

Here are some more fun things to suggest for your girlfriend getaway groups.

THE HIGH ROLLER: This 550-foot-tall observation wheel is available for private parties. Groups can buy out one of the 28 glass-enclosed cabins, which each hold 40 people (with benches on either side of the cabin and plenty of floor space in between), or the entire wheel. Smaller gatherings of adults (21 and over) can opt for a High Roller Happy Half Hour cabin, which rolls daily from noon to 1 a.m. Tickets include one 30-minute ride and an open bar inside the cabin. Private cabins are also available Thursday evenings for the High Roller’s new 30-minute chocolate tasting experience, pairing handcrafted Ethel M Chocolates with a choice of Red or White wine.

Limo tours of the Pahrump Valley Winery, just over an hour away from the strip, are available with door-to-door service from Vegas.

WINERY TOUR: Limo tours of the Pahrump Valley Winery, just over an hour away from the strip, are available with door-to-door service from Vegas. In addition to the winery, recipient of 300+ national wine awards since 2004, the tour stops at a rose garden and Symphony’s, a Zagat-rated upscale casual restaurant, and drives through the Red Rock Canyon.CHIPPENDALES: For bachelorette parties and other gatherings of eight or more, Chippendales’ group sales coordinators can put together an outing that includes reduced admission to the show, a poster and 50 percent off on digital photo for each member of the group, a calendar for the guest of honor and VIP access to the Voodoo Lounge at the Rio after the show. Alternatively, they can book one of four packages, the ultimate being the “All That Bachelorette.” Starting at $239 per person, it includes “Hot Seat” Chippendales show tickets, dinner and drinks at Firefly restaurant, VIP entry to Intrigue or Chateau nightclub and limo transfer to each venue.

SPA PAMPERING: A number of hotels in Las Vegas offer spa facilities for groups. For example: At the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa, which occupies 50 acres of garden landscape 20 minutes from the Strip, the spa manager can help you select the right package or build your own to create a spa event tailored to your group’s wishes. Requests should be made at least a month in advance.

At The Cosmopolitan, the 11,000-square-foot Sahra Spa Penthouse Suite is available 24 / 7 for groups who book at least $300 in services and reserve for a four-hour minimum ($95 / hour). Bookings should be made at least one week in advance.

Spa pampering is also an integral part of the Bach-elorette Party experience offered by MGM Resorts Connections, which operates 12 Las Vegas hotels.
