New Luxury Coastal Camping In Cornwall

Located in West Cornwall, Three Mile Beach is a collection of 15 beach houses overlooking Gwithian Beach. Created by Audley Travel founder Craig Burkinshaw and his partner, Jo Le Bon, the three- and four-bedroom beach houses have been developed for self-catering families, larger groups and four-legged friends. From spring 2022, the property will introduce four luxury tented suites, ideal for smaller groups and couples.

Each 323-square-foot tented suite will be designed for glamping, with bold and colorful interiors, white wood panelled walls, exposed oak beams and handcrafted Cornish furniture. The suites also have Berber-style rugs and cushions in shades of bright pink and pale mint green.

Amenities include a super-king size bed, which sleeps two guests, with an additional sofa bed for groups of friends or those with little ones in tow, and an extensive kitchen with a retro Everhot double oven, fridge and dining table. A freestanding bathtub offers a place to soak after a long day by the sea, and a water closet is hidden away through a small "secret door." Central heating, underfloor heating and air conditioning ensure cozy comfort whatever the weather.

Outside, the Three Mile Beach signature wrap-around terrace comes complete with a barbecue and seating area for al fresco dining, as well as a cedarwood hot tub. An outdoor shower and surfboard rack offer a "surf-in, surf-out" feeling, and guests will also have access to two luxury shared bathrooms and a SunCube sauna just a stone’s throw away.

Guests staying in the tented suites will have access to the wider Three Mile Beach amenities and host of foodie offerings that celebrate the best of Cornish produce, including a welcome hamper filled with locally sourced goodies, an on-site food truck serving up an array of seasonal light bites for lunch and new fun-filled themed nights for dinner, and a drinks tuk-tuk offering craft beers, creative cocktails and soft drinks. Also available are Ooni pizza ovens and DIY pizza kits along with the all-new Sunday roast deliveries.

Hidden among the sand dunes and overlooking the waves of Gwithian Beach, guests at Three Mile Beach are immersed in the heart of the Cornish coastline. An exclusive Three Mile Beach Guidebook written by locals introduces guests to some of West Cornwall’s best kept secrets, from off-the-beaten-track hikes and nature trails to nearby art galleries, boutique stores and farm shops for local produce. Those looking to brush up their surfing skills can book a lesson with the next-door surf school or enjoy surfboard, bodyboard and wetsuit hire, all delivered to guests’ doors. Thrill-seekers can explore the surrounding landscape by e-bike or discover the impressive coastline with a coasteering session.
