If improving your health, getting into shape or reducing stress topped your New Year’s resolutions list, get started – and warm up from winter – with new one-week yoga retreats at Rosalie Bay Resort on the Caribbean’s Nature Island of Dominica.
Tune out the busy world and tune in to your mind, body and nature at the award-winning eco-boutique resort. The “Feed Your Soul” yoga retreats will include yoga as well as such active pursuits on island as daily outdoor yoga classes led by Laura Lund, yoga instructor and resort wellness coordinator; hiking on some of the island’s 300 miles of trails into rain forests to swim under water falls; snorkeling coral reefs in the famous Champagne Reef; soaking in the island’s natural healing hot springs and cultural tour of the capital of Roseau.
When not practicing a pose or exploring the beauty of Dominica, clients will have time to relax and reflect at the resort in the onyx-lined saltwater pool, on the black sand beach, along winding nature trails, and in many outdoor meditation areas including a river stone labyrinth.
The one-week retreats are available February 23 – March 1 and March 23 – 29. In addition to improving your wellbeing, retreat guests may have the opportunity to help endangered sea turtles. The retreats coincide with the launch of sea turtle season in March. Clients are invited to participate in the resort’s sea turtle conservation efforts by helping patrol the beaches for nesting sea turtles and aiding researchers in collecting data.
