This fashion-led Italian hotel has a prime location on the corner of George IV Bridge and the Royal Mile and just steps from Edinburgh Castle, Hotel Missoni is situated in the heart of Edinburgh. Designed by Creative Director Rosita Missoni (one of the original founders of Missoni) the interiors of Hotel Missoni are bold and dramatic. To reflect the hotel's location, Rosita has included pieces by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, including his famous Ladderback Chair. The hotel offers 136 rooms, a Bar Missoni, and Missoni Cucina restaurant.
New Hotel du Vin, opened January 2009
Another new addition to the Hotel du Vin family of luxury boutique hotels, the five-star Hotel du Vin Edinburgh is nestled deep in Edinburgh's Old Town and only a short walk from the historic Royal Mile. The hotel occupies the site of a former lunatic asylum (!) and has 47 suites. For dining and drinking, the Hotel du Vin Bistro has a mezzanine bar serving traditional European cuisine from the kitchen, alfresco and private dining, cigar shack, whisky snug and the La Roche tasting room.

The Spoons has three individually designed en suite bedrooms and an open plan guest dining and living room with a wood burning stove. Throughout the house there is a mixture of antique and contemporary furnishing and original artworks.
