New Vice President of Development to Drive Apple Leisure Group's Expansion Plans in Caribbean, Latin America

caribbean beachApple Leisure Group (ALG) recently announced the addition of Fernando Fernandez to its executive team as part of the company's growth strategy.

As vice president of development, Fernandez will focus on increasing the company's footprint in the Caribbean and Latin America by securing partnerships with hotel owners and developers in these high-demand markets.

“Fernando is a hospitality industry veteran with more than three decades of experience in hotel operations, consultancy, and most recently, development," said Javier Coll, executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Apple Leisure Group, in a written release. "His considerable expertise not only adds value, but will help us accelerate our expansion goals in key markets."

Fernandez’s previous experience includes eight years as vice president of development for Melia Hotels International in Europe, across the Americas and the Caribbean. Prior to working with Meliá Hotels International, Fernando managed key accounts for LRA Worldwide, including Starwood Hotels & Resorts (Latin America), Grupo Posadas (Mexico) and Accor Hotels (Latin America).
