The Kahala Spa at Oahu's Kahala Hotel & Resort was recently updated and refreshed as part of a hotel-wide renovation this past summer.
In the spa, the changes include an additional five residential-style treatment rooms (all of which have views of the golf course and Koko Head Crater) and several new treatments and services.
All 10 treatment rooms spread out over 550 square feet (large enough for couples) and have their own treatment and changing areas and private shower. Nice touch for the guys: The spa also includes a men's retreat complete with barber's chair for shaves, and another suite dedicated to manis and pedis.
The spa is offering several new treatments. The two-hour Lovely Hula Hands ($450) includes a detoxifying foot ritual and body scrub, a synchronized four-hands massage that blends hula and lomilomi, and a facial). The 45-minute Gentleman's Shave ($95) uses an old-fashioned straight-edge razor, steamed towels and an aftershave balm. The one-hour Spa Teeth White ($300) offers a teeth-whitening treatment that lasts for two years. Guys will appreciate the Private Groom's Suite, which gives guys a space to relax enjoy a custom shave, men's facial, manicure or pedicure. The room accommodates up to four, and costs $75/hour for the room (if treatments are booked with the room, however, the hourly fee is waived).
