Great news for foodies on Oahu: Turtle Bay Resort has announced the schedule for its sixth annual Seafood Festival, scheduled for Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2. Turtle Bay Resort’s Executive Chef Hector Morales will orchestrate the event.
This year’s schedule will be as follows:
On October 1, at 6:30 pm, the event begins with a “Taste of the North Shore Shrimp Trucks.” Ticket price is $40 per person and tickets are available at the Turtle Bay Resort Concierge Desk. Tickets will also be available at the door for all events.
The Sam Choy Poke Contest will begin Saturday morning, October 2 at 10:30 am. Celebrities will learn how to make Poke, and guests will be able to sample each contestant's entry.
Saturday Evening, October 2, at 6:30 pm, Turtle Bay Resort’s Executive Chef Hector Morales will coordinate the return of the “Chefs Seafood under the Stars.” This event will include “food stations” manned and operated by an exclusive number of Hawaii’s top chefs, under the direction of Executive Chef Hector Morales of Turtle Bay Resort and Chef de Cuisine John Armstrong of 21 Degrees North. Also participating will be Executive Chef Fred DeAngelo from Ola and Turtle Bay Resort’s Executive Pastry Chef Benjamin Tabios.
The band Kapena will provide the musical entertainment for the evening. Ticket price is $55 per person and are available at the Turtle Bay Resort Concierge Desk.
Both evening events will also include a silent auction, proceeds of which will again be donated to the Kahuku Library to be used for maintaining their North Shore Bookmobile.
