Occidental To Reopen Five Mexico Properties

Following damage from Hurricane Wilma, Occidental Hotels & Resorts is gearing up to reopen its Mexico properties in the first quarter of this year. Royal Hideaway Playacar, a member of Leading Hotels of the World, is scheduled to reopen March 1 on Mexico's Riviera Maya with a new infinity pool; three hot tub sundecks; a new signature restaurant, Las Ventanas by Sergi Arola; Spices restaurant, a new oceanfront seafood venue; an expanded spa; and a new beach marina. All rooms have been renovated. The Occidental Grand Xcaret, Occidental Grand Cozumel, Allegro Cozumel and Allegro Playacar are slated to reopen Jan. 31.
