Six Outrigger hotels in Hawaii are affiliating with Choice Hotels’ Clarion brand in a marketing alliance.
The Ala Moana, the Outrigger Luana Waikiki, the Wyland Waikiki, the Ohana Waikiki West and the Ohana Honolulu Airport, all on Oahu, are involved in the Clarion deal, along with the Keauhou Beach Resort on the island of Hawaii. The partnership may be expanded to include additional Outrigger properties. Outrigger has a total of 24 hotels in Hawaii.
As part of the new marketing alliance, the six Outrigger hotels can be booked through Choice’s online and toll-free reservations systems. The hotels also participate in the Choice Privileges loyalty program and members can earn and redeem points in the program at the Outrigger properties.
“The addition of the Outrigger-affiliated properties adds great new locations to the Clarion Collection brand extension,” said Bruce Haase, senior vice president of brand operations and international for Choice Hotels. “We continue to identify unique, boutique and historic hotels, as well as those that are well established in their markets, like the Outrigger-affiliated hotels, that can benefit from Choice’s powerful central distribution system.” No name changes for the hotels were announced.
