Outrigger Hotels & Resorts has commenced a major refurbishment of the two accommodation towers at the beachfront Outrigger Twin Towns Resort on Australia’s Gold Coast. Built in 1999, the Ocean Tower is undergoing a $1.2 million refurbishment in all 116-rooms and lobby areas that will mirror the quality of the newer 4.5-star Harbour Tower built in 2006. State-of-the art appliances and electronics including large LCD flat-screen TVs will be standard throughout all rooms, as will leather sofas and solid timber furniture.

The refurbishment is being staged to minimize any impact on guests and is due for completion in mid-December, in time for the holiday season. The Outrigger Twin Towns Resort gets its name from its beachfront location at the twin towns of Coolangatta and Tweeds Heads.
