Pacifica Hotels reopened Hotel Hermosa this summer after nearly one year of renovations. The 81-room surf chic hotel offers both comfort and luxury for its guests, all in the heart of Hermosa Beach.
Most notable of the renovations is The Yard, the “grown-up playground,” which has three pool tables, a bocce ball court, giant Jenga, fire pits, HDTVs, lounge seating, and an ocean view. There’s even a direct-dial “Bat Phone” that allows guests to order wine and liquor from the store across the street.
The area formerly occupied by the gym is now a yoga studio with instructional videos playing hourly, while the second floor is home to a “Before I Die” chalkboard to offer guest interaction.
Each of Hotel Hermosa’s guestrooms, suites, and bathrooms echo the local surf culture with modern, comfortable, and vibrant touches. All public spaces have been renovated, with the new lobby features streaming Wi-Fi, plug and play furniture, a fire table, and public work spaces.
