Rezidor SAS opened its first Park Inn hotel in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The Park Inn Azerbaijan, located in Baku (the capital of Azerbaijan), features 248 rooms with interactive flat screen TVs, free broadband Internet access, a restaurant, bar and coffee shop. The property joins its sister hotel, the Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel, in Baku. According to Marko Hytönen, area vice president for Rezidor SAS, the company plans to open 50 hotels in Russia and CIS under various brands, such as Radisson SAS, Park Inn and the new Missoni hotels.
