Philippines Tourism Office, Avanti Partner on E-Brochure and Webinar

The Philippines Department of Tourism has teamed up with Avanti Destinations to launch “The Philippines: Pearl of the Orient Sea,” a 50-page educational e-brochure for travel advisors.

The Philippines has been open to international tourists since February 2022. Consisting of over 7,000 islands, the country is known for its white sand beaches, waterfalls, marine life, coral reefs and friendly people, most of whom speak English. As a result of nearly 50 years of American rule, the Philippines ranks third in the world in terms of the number of people who speak English as their first language.

Said Paul Barry, CEO of Avanti Destinations, in a press statement: “There are so many eco adventures to be had: Snorkeling, scuba diving, world-class surfing, volcano-trekking, parasailing, wildlife-spotting, swimming with the world’s largest fish–the list goes on and on. We have several unique private tours and experiences, like a visit to the indigenous Aetas people or a foodie tour of Manila’s Chinatown, that can be added to any custom itinerary.”

The new e-brochure describes eight destinations within the Philippines: Manila, Cebu, Palawan, Coron, Puerto Princesa, Siargao, Boracay and Bohol. There are also descriptions of two suggested, customizable Avanti itineraries, six private sightseeing tours and experiences, and 15 four- and five-star hotels and resorts in all the highlighted destinations. Five of the higlighted hotels and resorts have just been added to Avanti’s offerings in the Philippines. Designed to be passed along to clients, the e-brochure also includes videos, historical background and helpful information on getting to and around this multi-cultural nation.

The two featured vacations can be customized to add or subtract number of days, destinations, transfers and activities.

On the 10-day “Fantastic Philippines” itinerary, guests can explore Manila, Cebu and El Nido. The entire area around El Nido is a designated marine reserve in the Bacuit archipelago, where clients stay at either an all-inclusive solar-powered resort with thatched-roof bungalows or at a luxury resort in an over-the-water cottage. Includes arrival and departure private transfers, private tours of Manila and Cebu, choice of accommodations, daily breakfast and opportunities for snorkeling, scuba diving, mountain biking and kayaking. Optional add-on activities/tours include private foodie tour with tastings of Manila’s Chinatown (Binondo), private whale shark encounter and a private island-hopping excursion.

On the five-day “Secrets of Siargao” itinerary, guests can visit Siargao island, beloved by surfers for its 15 separate surf breaks, including the “Cloud 9” swells. The itinerary includes surfing at Cloud 9, a private tour of Magpupungko Rock Pools (only at low tide), a private seven-hour island-hopping tour of three islands with lunch and a private butler. The island is also home to coconut groves, forests, waterfalls, caves and rocks.

As part of the joint campaign to encourage advisors to recommend the Philippines for independent travel clients, a webinar will be held on September 27, 2022 at 1 p.m. Eastern. Avanti sells customizable independent FITs exclusively through travel advisors. For more details, visit book.avantidestinations.com.
