Pleasant Holidays Opens Sales of American Empress River Cruises in Pacific Northwest

American EmpressPleasant Holidays opened sales of luxury river cruises aboard the American Empress in the Pacific Northwest. Offered by American Queen Steamboat Company, the all-inclusive-style cruises will sail along the Columbia and Snake rivers beginning April 5 to Nov. 16, 2014.

The American Empress measures 360 feet long, and has three passenger decks, 112 staterooms and suites with balconies or picture windows, dining venues, and a crew of 73 for 223 passengers. Themed itineraries include one-way, nine-day journeys between Portland, Ore.; and Clarkston, Wash.; visiting Astoria, Ore., Stevenson, Wash.; The Dalles, Ore. and Sacajawea State Park, Wash.

An early booking promotion offers savings up to $600 per stateroom on 2014 itineraries. The savings offer, which is $300 per person or $600 per stateroom, is valid on cruises of seven days or longer booked by Dec. 21, 2013, with the reservation paid in full at time of booking. American Empress river cruises also has complimentary shore excursions in every port, all onboard meals including 24-hour room service, wine and beer with dinner, specialty coffees, soft drinks and bottled water, regional Pacific Northwest cuisine, entertainment and dancing, and daily lectures. In addition, select itineraries include one-night accommodation at a pre-selected luxury hotel in the city where the where the cruise originates, as well as breakfast, taxes, porterage and transfers to the American Empress.
