The Pools of Las Vegas

Aria Sky Pool

Gaming, fine dining and top entertainment are the main draws for Las Vegas, but the destination offers so much more, including cool pools and pool clubs, primarily for the 21-and-over group. Here is a sampling.

Tropicana Las Vegas is home to the city’s newest pool experience, Sky Beach Club, which is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through September. With an emphasis on delivering interactive experiences for guests 21+, the South Beach-inspired venue will embody Vegas’ summertime party vibe with bikini-clad waitresses providing bottle service, two luxury pools, VIP cabanas, a DJ booth and two bars. Sky Beach Club’s entertainment lineup is expected to include A-list celebrity hosts, top live music acts, beer pong and live table games. Tropicana also has a daytime pool set on two acres with palm trees, lush landscaping and waterfalls. This pool also has loungers, cabanas and daybeds.

Aria Resort and Casino has three main pools. The Sky Pool, for Sky Suite guests only, offers personalized services such as a private guest entrance, complimentary refreshments, luxurious amenities and more. Tucked near the edge of The Pools at Aria, Liquid is an adults-only playground filled with electric beats spun by the hottest DJs, refreshing drinks and chaise lounges surrounding an action-packed pool. Other Aria pool amenities include cabana rentals, hot tubs and a bar.

Among the options at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas are the Bamboo Pool, Marquee Dayclub Pool and the Boulevard Pool, which has views of the Vegas Strip and actually has a stage for live music and other entertainment. Looking to host an extreme pool party? Boulevard can hold up to 3,000 guests for a private event. The Bamboo Pool, meanwhile, captures that western U.S. vibe, with a decidedly natural environment. There are rolling, grassy banks and covered walkways, along with generally fewer crowds. To go along with the earthy feel, there are two teakwood bars at either end of this pool. This pool can also be booked for private events, hosting up to 1,000 people.

The 21-and-over Linq Pool provides a cooling escape with amazing views of the High Roller and LINQ Promenade. Plus, the pool deck’s misting system keeps everyone cool.

Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino is home to a large wave pool, a lazy river and Moorea Beach Club, which has a fire pit. Guests can also opt for Mandalay Bay Beach, which has 2,700 tons of real sand.

Wet Republic at MGM Grand comprises large saltwater pools, intimate dipping pools, daybeds, banquets, tricked-out bungalows and party cabanas. The adult pool destination has an open-air covered lounge serving as a place to mix, mingle, dance and dine. Savory culinary offerings, signature cocktails, premium bottle and pitcher service can be enjoyed in the lounge or ordered poolside. The venue also offers a dedicated valet for guests. For entertainment, a collection of new and returning DJ stars will take over the turntables throughout the summer.

The Mirage’s Private Oasis is a small, exclusive VIP pool area lined with padded chaise lounges and shared umbrellas. The Mirage Cabana staff provides complimentary service, including tastings of fruit, juice and refreshing sorbet. Poolside food and beverage service is available from the Paradise Café as well as complimentary fruit-infused water. The Mirage pool also offers 16 private luxury cabanas all outfitted with 32-inch flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations, complimentary water, sodas, and a fruit and cheese plate.

Treasure Island guests can enjoy the tropical outdoor pool, 25-person hot tub, water misters (seasonal), and poolside food and drinks. They can also rent cabanas, day beds and luxury lounge chairs.
