Puerto Vallarta Adds Hotels and Flights

Puerto Vallarta's travel scene is buzzing this year with the addition of three new hotels and the addition of flights.

No opening dates have been formally announced, but construction has already begun. The new Hotel One will have 125 rooms and a Holiday Inn Express will have 115 rooms. A new AMResorts is also slated for the hotel zone of Puerto Vallarta with 450 rooms. A Best Western opened earlier this year, as well.

To fill these rooms and meet a rising demand from the United States and Canada, more airlines are offering non-stop flights from key cities in North America. As of this summer, Delta, Frontier, Aeromexico and Virgin America will offer new services to Puerto Vallarta.

As of July 1, Delta began operating daily non-stop services from Los Angeles. Apple Vacations has partnered with Aeromexico and Frontier Airlines to offer non-stop flights from Philadelphia, St. Louis, Rockford, Lansing and New York. Still to come, Delta and Virgin Australia will expand their codeshare network to enable Australian passengers to travel to Puerto Vallarta.
