Qantas Vacations Launches Cruise Options

Exciting news for those headed to Australia and New Zealand: Qantas Vacations is adding large ship cruising to its mix of voyages to the South Pacific. The Ultimate Adventure Collection is a joint campaign launched with Tourism Australia and Tourism New Zealand, and is a fully inclusive destination experience combining FIT arrangements and cruising in one itinerary.

Cruise ships traveling to Australia and New Zealand only reach the coastlines of the countries, so Qantas Vacations is offering deluxe large ship cruising combined with escorted and independent travel experiences.

The Ultimate Adventure Collection includes airfare, deluxe cruising and specialized land arrangements all commissionable to travel agents. If clients want to stop over in Fiji or Tahiti, domestic add-ons in Australia or New Zealand, Qantas Vacations can arrange these options. Crystal Cruises and Princess Cruises are the initial launch cruise partners for the 2011 collection.

Special Early Bird offers for the launch of the Ultimate Adventures include a $1,000 saving per couple on Crystal journeys and $400 savings per couple on Princess journeys. A 23-day itinerary “Australia & New Zealand Encompassed” includes international air from Los Angeles, a 13-day Princess Cruise visiting Australia & New Zealand, and seven nights accommodation including touring and private transfers. Prices for this package start at $6,699.
