Report: Caribbean Airlines to Train With Southwest?

handshakeCaribbean Airlines Limited (CAL) Chairman Rabindra Moonan and Deputy Chairman Mohan Jaikaran toured the facilities of Southwest Airlines in Dallas, Texas, last weekend Trinidad and Tobago Newsday reports.

The CAL executives met with top Southwest executives and discusses the possibility of shared visits, training opportunities for CAL personnel, and the possibility of securing Southwest’s assistance with CAL’s maintenance program.

“We can learn quite a few things from this efficient airline,” Moonan told Trinidad and Tobago Newsday. “We were able to look at some of their systems, including baggage handling. Our discussions augur well for the future in terms of information sharing and for training purposes.”
