A 50-acre resort with 29 suites and guest rooms in Playa Xpu-Ha, 45 minutes south of Cancun, beachfront Hotel Esencia, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, now offers complimentary nannies on call around the clock (a $45 value) for guests who want to indulge in a massage at Aroma Spa or dine at Sal y Fuego.

Guests can opt for the complimentary service for up to two hours at the front desk after booking a spa treatment or making dinner reservations. Aroma Spa is the only organic spa in the region and uses indigenous herbs, plants and flowers picked from its garden for body treatments. Sal y Fuego specializes in Mesoamerican cuisine, native to the Yucatan region.

Two-bedroom cottages with a large private pool and gourmet kitchen for use by the resort's personalized chef offer plenty of room for families. Rates start at $525 for a Garden Suite with plunge pool and $1,500 for a cottage with private swimming pool. Rates include daily breakfast. Tax and service charge are additional.
