Rocco Forte Expands in Morocco

Rocco Forte Hotels on Wednesday announced a new property in Marrakech, Morocco. The property, planned to open in December of 2009, is set on 556 acres of olive groves and is surrounded by the Atlas Mountains. Its 90 rooms will have a contemporary design, which the hotelier says will reflect the environment and architecture of its locale. The resort also will house 80 villas, a spa, an 18-hole golf course and golf academy. In addition to the 11 properties Rocco Forte currently operates throughout Europe, the hotelier also is developing properties in Prague and Sicily, both set to open in 2008.
