Royal Lahaina Completes Tower Upgrades

The Royal Lahaina Resort has completed a $30 million upgrade of its 12-story Lahaina Kai Tower. Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts, which owns and operates the oceanfront Maui hotel, spent a year on the first phase of what is planned to be a $300 million renovation of the resort. Total scope of the project is expected to encompass the development of 125 villas, spa, large pool, children's center and third restaurant. The 330 rooms and suites were fitted with custom-designed teak furnishings and local artwork, as well as new beds and Egyptian cotton linens. Each room also has a 32-inch high-definition TV, a sound system with iPod and MP3 ports and high-speed Internet access. Visit [www.royallahaina.net].
