Aviation IT specialist SITA has announced that S7, Russia's largest domestic airline, is the first to implement SITA Marketplace-Air, enabling its sales agents and partner travel agents to access and book last seat availability on 530 airlines through SITA Reservations.

The solution is now being made available to other carriers hosted on SITA Reservations.

Previously, with SITA Reservations, S7 enabled its 3,000 sales agents and to view and sell its own available seats, and to provide access to the inventories of the 130 SITA Reservations-hosted airlines to support its customers' onward air travel arrangements. SITA Marketplace-Air now enables access to the inventory of a total of 530 airlines.

S7 is Russia's leading domestic carrier and number three internationally. In 2008, the airline carried 5.9 million passengers, a 3.4 percent increase over the previous year. S7 flies to 100 destinations.
