San Juan's Piers Ready to Dock Mega Cruise Ships

A San Juan Bay drainage project on Piers 3 and 4 with a $6.5 million price tag has been completed. The drainage project resulted in new water depths of 38 and 35 feet for Piers 4 and 3. The two piers are in addition to four existing piers in San Juan Bay, which have the capabilities to handle large cruise ships. It was also announced that in 2007 there will be two Royal Caribbean mega ships porting in the Port of San Juan.
