The Sereno Group has announced its plans for a new luxury property on Italy’s Lake Como. The property, Il Sereno, Lago di Como, will feature 30 rooms on the scenic lake. With a design team led by Christian Liaigre and vertical garden specialist Patrick Blanc, Il Sereno will feature a floating pool suspended over the lake, boat docking facilities and oversize suites, all with waterfront views.

This property will mark the group’s second extension after its completion of the well-regarded Le Sereno in St. Barth’s.

“We are thrilled to be working on a second Sereno property in the iconic destination of Lake Como,” said Luis Contreras, owner of Il Sereno. “St. Barth and Lake Como are two of the most beautiful travel destinations in the world, which is why it’s a natural extension for us to create a new property in Lake Como. As in St. Barth, we will base the design concept around the local landscape and customs while keeping intact the elements that guests expect from the Sereno name.”

The new property is scheduled for completion in 2013.
