Sheraton Kauai Unveils Refurbishments

The Sheraton Kauai Resort has completed its $16 million renovation, which includes  a new open-air Ocean Courtyard with a cafe, the opening of RumFire Poipu Beach (a new 240-seat restaurant; there is another one at Sheraton Waikiki) with views of the Pacific, and a new water park with a pool-side restaurant.

Upon arrival at the resort, guests can see the refurbished porte-cochere before entering the upgraded Ocean Lobby, which opens into a new open-air Ocean Courtyard (adorned with tiki torches and featuring six conversational seating areas, three of which have fire pits). The new [email protected] Café is also at the Ocean Courtyard, offering Starbucks coffee, beverages, snacks and sandwiches.

Across the Ocean Courtyard is RumFire Poipu Beach, a new restaurant with 180-degree unobstructed views of the Pacific. The menu features Hawaiian-rooted cuisine with global influences, designed by new Executive Chef and local Hawaii Islander Leanne Kamekona.

A new breezeway provides guests direct access to the resort’s newest water park from the Ocean Courtyard, featuring an expanded, multi-level pool that sits just above the pristine shore, lined with eight private cabanas, each named for a native Hawaiian flower and equipped with flat-screen TVs and ceiling fans.

And for meetings, banquets or special celebrations, the new Luana Kai is the only oceanfront function space on Kauai and is perfect for daytime or evening functions.
