On Site: Panama to Host Centro America Travel Market 2010

ANTIGUA, Guatemala – As part of our coverage of the Centro America Travel Market Guatemala, Travel Agent sat down with representatives of the Panama Tourist Bureau and learned details about next year’s show in Panama.

Margarita Hernandez, marketing executive for the Panama Tourist Bureau, told Travel Agent that next year’s show will be held in Panama City at the Atiara, the city’s main convention hall. She says the dates will be about the same time as this year show, at the end of October. This is not the first time Panama will host Centro America Travel Market, with the last time taking place roughly five years ago.

“We are really excited about hosting the show next year,” Hernandez told Travel Agent. “When everyone thinks Panama, all they think of is the Panama Canal, so this will give us the opportunity to show the industry that we are so much more than that.”
