The Spanish hotel company Sol Meliá, the largest hotel chain in Spain, has entered a partnership with the frequent flyer program “Miles & More” that allows customers of both companies to receive the benefits of both of their loyalty programs from March 1 on.
Members of the Sol Meliá mas program will be able to exchange their mas points for Miles & More award miles at a rate of two mas points toone1 award mile. Miles & More members will also be able to earn up to 500 miles per stay in any of the Sol Meliá hotels worldwide at all eligible rates.
The agreement forms part of a Sol Meliá sales strategy which aims to strengthen its positioning and competitiveness through alliances with other leading companies in the travel industry. Iberia, Air Europa, Air Berlin and Copa Airline have already entered a strategic agreement with Sol Meliá. Now, through the partnership with Miles & More, Lufthansa, Lufthansa Regional, Adria Airways, Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Luxair and SWISS will become Sol Meliá partners.
