Spirit Nixes Route

Spirit Airlines axed its eight-month-old service from Fort Lauderdale to Turks and Caicos earlier this month, the carrier confirmed to Travel Agent on Tuesday. The airline would not state the reason for the move. Spirit Airlines had run twice-weekly service to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos on Wednesdays and Sundays.
