Starwood Announces New Resort on St. Lucia

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced plans for Le Paradis resort in Praslin Bay, St. Lucia. The 554-acre multi-purpose development will feature a Westin-branded hotel with 100 condominiums, 232-bayview guestrooms and residences. Additional facilities include a full-service spa with 16 treatment rooms, conference facilities for up to 600 people and an 18-hole Greg Norman-designed golf course managed by Troon Golf. Phase 1 is scheduled to open August 2007. Future phases include residences, 324 additional hotel rooms, expanded spa with 26 treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor function space and a 50-slip marina and marina village.
