Stats: Orlando, New Orleans Top Fourth of July Travel Destinations

Fourth of July is right around the corner and Americans will be taking an extended weekend vacation in search of sprawling beaches, barbecues and lively parties, and Orlando and New Orleans are leading the pack of travel spots for travelers looking to get away, according to new data from Booking.com.

According to Booking.com, 38 percent of travelers become closer to family and around one in five make long-lasting friendships while on vacation (24%). Additionally, 46 percent of American travelers claimed the best trips they’ve ever taken are last-minute trips and 76 percent said road trips.
