Sydney to Get New Design Hotel

In September, a new hotel will open in Sydney, based in two of the city's historic buildings: Gowings department store and the heritage-listed State Theatre.

Located in the city’s central business district, the QT Sydney is holding on to historic elements like original timber floors, retail showcases, gargoyles and facade details that have been restored.

The 200 guest rooms come in 12 different styles, most of which include unique design pieces that reference the buildings’ past.

The hotel will be available for bookings as of September 17. Visit www.designhotels.com/qt_sydney for more information.
