Apl.de.Ap, a member of the hit pop group the Black Eyed Peas and a proud Filipino-American, is using his fame and love of his heritage to help promote tourism to the Philippines.
The Philippine Department of Tourism, in partnership with MTV Asia, recently launched a new animated music video titled Take Me To The Philippines, created by Apl who wrote the lyrics, along with suggestions from the Tourism Secretary, the Hon. Joseph "Ace" Durano.
The video highlights select destinations of the 7,107-island archipelago, including Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Davao, Tagaytay, Pampanga, Batangas and Baguio.
This is also the first time that MTV has partnered with a country to promote its tourism industry.
