Top Places to Propose in Las Vegas

If you’ve got clients thinking of popping the question this Valentine’s Day, you’ve got to plan the ultimate experience for them that far surpasses the typical Valentine’s Day proposal. Las Vegas, frequently thought of as a quick wedding destination, is actually becoming a go-to destination for people who are planning to get down on one knee. If you’re planning a proposal trip for the upcoming holiday, take a look at some of the packages Vegas has in mind to make the moment special.

Las Vegas Balloon Rides

Hot Air Balloons Las Vegas has been a staple in Las Vegas romance for the last 40 years. The small balloon air ride company offers a variety of flights to suit a client’s needs. Its most popular flight is the 30 minute flight that takes couples over Las Vegas and the surrounding mountains and concludes with a romantic champagne toast. The company also offers a Marriage Proposal Flight where couples can enjoy a day in the air from sunrise to sunset flying over the Nevada skyline, Nevada mountains and the Las Vegas Strip. Included in the package is time with a professional instructor, three hours of training, three flights with the instructor and all meals. In terms of romance, we suggest booking an early morning sunrise flight or evening sunset flight to really get the most romantic view. The company also specializes in balloon weddings, should your couple want to return to their proposal spot.

Tip: If your client wants to propose in front of family and friends, suggest booking a private flight. For $445 the company charters private balloon flights for groups up to eight people.

The LINQ Promenade and High Roller

The LINQ Promenade is a fun alternative destination to spend the day at when visiting Vegas, offering a variety of attractions and amenities like Virtual Reality adventures, the ameriCAN Bar (which focuses entirely on canned beers), the newly reimagined O’Sheas Casino, the Brooklyn Bowl live music venue and, of course, the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel. Perhaps the most romantic place to propose at the LINQ, the High Roller tops out at 550 feet, eclipsing both the London Eye and the Singapore Flyer. The wheel faces north and south, parallel to Las Vegas Boulevard, and takes about 30 minutes to complete one full rotation. Each of the wheel's 28 glass-enclosed cabins can accommodate up to 40 people and is available to book for individual or group experiences. For chocolate lovers, try suggesting the Chocolate Experience, which takes guests on a rotation of the wheel while pairing Ethel M Chocolates paired with red or white wines.

Tip: Thanks to a variety of wedding packages offered on High Roller, the team at High Roller is well-suited to curate any romantic event. Contact them about scheduling proposals at 1-800-933-7993 or [email protected]

The Eiffel Tower Experience

Offering an American version of the famed Parisian destination, the Eiffel Tower Experience at Paris Las Vegas is great for those who don’t want to head all the way to France. Tell your client to take their date to the top of the tower for a panoramic, bird’s-eye view of the Las Vegas Strip from 460 feet in the air as an ideal spot to propose. The Tower is also offering a Valentine’s Day Special from February 12 – February 14, where for $125 guests will receive four Express Eiffel Tower Experience Passes, two Moet and Chandon champagne beverages, one 8” x 6” photo souvenir and a love lock for the Paris Locks on the Bridge. Tickets can be purchased at the Eiffel Tower box office. The tower is open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. seven days a week.

Tip: Reserve your client a table at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant for a romantic dinner, before they take a short elevator ride to the top of the Tower to ask the question.

The Fountains of Bellagio

A staple of visits to the Las Vegas Strip, the Fountains of Bellagio offers more than 1,000 water fountains dancing to music, ranging in style from Pavarotti to Sinatra. The display, modeled after the romantic fountains of Europe like those in Paris, Rome, London and Madrid, spans over 1,000 feet and shoots water soaring 460 feet into the air. Designed to “romance your senses,” designers, musicians and performance artists were invited to choreograph the fountains to different musical selections, including opera, classical, Broadway and pop songs. If your couple is looking for dinner and a show, suggest dining at one of the Bellagio restaurants that offer fountain side or Lago di Como views, including Lago by Julian Serrano, Le Cirque, Jasmine, Todd English’s Olives, Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant & Lounge, Picasso and PRIME Steakhouse.

Tip: We recommend double-checking with the resort show times for the day your clients wish to attend. Shows typically run every 15-30 minutes, but schedules vary from weekdays to weekends and holidays.

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens

Also at the Bellagio is another picturesque, photo-op location to propose: the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. Each season, a team of horticulturalists and designers transform the 14,000 square foot space into a floral showcase, using colors and plants that reflect spring, summer, fall and winter. Presently, the gardens are displaying its limited edition Chinese New Year 2017 design, which runs January 8 through March 4, 2017. For a list of exhibit dates, dark dates, photos of past exhibits and even a live web cam of the gardens, we suggest browsing the garden's website.

Tip: Located just beyond the Bellagio lobby, the complimentary gardens are open 24 hours, making them well-suited for an end-of-evening destination for guests staying at or nearby the Bellagio as well.
