Tour Italy, France and Northern California With Food Network

Food Network Travel will offer guided tours of Italy, France and Northern California in 2012. These tours are open for booking now.

These guided vacations include a Food Network tour director, hotel accommodations and exclusive culinary experiences. Trafalgar will operate the vacations, which Food Network Travel has developed in association with Signature Travel Network and Food Network.

On the tours, guests will have the chance to sample the favorite dishes and spots of Food Network stars from such shows as “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” and “Best Thing I Ever Ate.” Guests will also have the opportunity to meet chefs, visit markets and wineries and even participate in hands-on cooking classes using recipes developed by Food Network Kitchens.

Flavors of Northern California

Visiting San Francisco, the Napa Valley and Sonoma County, this seven-night tour will offer guests the chance to immerse themselves in California's famed wine country. In San Francisco guests can enjoy the Saturday Morning Ferry Plaza Farmers' Market and dining at spots featured on "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives," "Best Thing I Ever Ate" and other Food Network programs. Guests will also see Union Square, Twin Peaks, the Presidio, the Golden Gate Bridge and Chinatown. In wine country, guests will experience a behind-the-scenes tour, wine tasting and lunch at Food Network's partner winery, Wente Vineyards, as well as a four-course cooking class with wine pairing lunch in Sonoma, a private dinner at Bottega and a farewell dinner at Rostiere & Wine in Napa. Rates start at $2,165 per person, based on double occupancy.

Flavors of France

This eight-night guided tour starts in Paris, where travelers will see the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and the Louvre, as well as sample some of the favorite bakeries of Food Network stars. From there, guests will visit the vineyards of Burgundy and the "gastronomy capital of France," Lyon, before sampling the local fare of Provence villages on a trip down the Rhône River. This tour also includes visits to Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Nice and Monte Carlo, as well as a Chef's lunch at a Burgundy château, dinner in a Michelin-starred restaurant in St-Remy, a royal luncheon hosted by a Baron and Baroness at their winery in Maubec and a farewell dinner in Nice. Rates start at $3,399 per person, based on double occupancy.

Flavors of Italy

For eight nights, travelers can experience the picturesque and culinary delights of Rome, Tuscany and Venice. In addition to visiting the Forum, the Coliseum and St. Peter's Basilica, travelers will enjoy a gelateria in Rome, a taste of wine and olives in Tuscany and a stroll through a fish market in Venice. A Florentine cooking class includes an ingredients-gathering visit to the market of Sant Ambrogio, as well as a lesson on sauces in Chianti. This tour also includes a Tuscan dinner in a Renaissance-style villa, a hands-on pasta making class with a local chef, a luncheon at the Villa San Michele in Tuscany, a dinner at a private home in Chianti and a farewell dinner off St. Mark's Square in Venice.
