Ten tour operators, including New York-based Isramworld, have banded together to form TOPI, or Tour Operators Promoting Israel, an organization devoted to developing tourism in the country. The goal is not just to promote the Israel tourism industry, but also to protect the interests of tour operators specializing in travel there and to provide travel trade representation in negotiations with government and non-government entities on such issues as aviation, transportation and the local hotel industry.
