Universal Studios Hollywood just launched its new "Fast & Furious—Supercharged" thrill ride, with several cast members of the movie franchise attending its debut.

Among the first guests to experience the attraction, which was presented as the grand finale to the franchise’s "Studio Tour", were actors Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Jason Statham. Filmmakers Neal H. Moritz and Chris Morgan were also present, along with Steve Burke, CEO of NBCUniversal; Ron Meyer, vice chairman, NBCUniversal; Tom Williams, chairman, Universal Parks & Resorts; Larry Kurzweil, president and COO, Universal Studios Hollywood; Mark Woodbury president, Universal Creative; and L.A. mayor Eric Garcetti.

The new ride, inspired by Universal Pictures' blockbuster film The Fast and the Furious, is a technologically advanced attraction designed to “catapult guests into the high-stakes underground world of street racing at perceived speeds of 120 miles per hour”. It fuses special effects with a state-of-the-art 3D audio system and 3D-HD imagery projected onto the world's longest 360-degree screen, which spans nearly 400 feet in length.
