Virgin America Begins San Francisco-to-Los Cabos Flights

Virgin America this week made Los Cabos, Mexico, its second international destination with direct flights from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD).

The California-based airline kicked off its new service with a fiesta at the gate in San Francisco before the first flight on Thursday.

"We are thrilled to welcome Virgin America to Los Cabos and know that their guests will be pleased with the exciting sights and unique activities in this beautiful region," said Gonzalo Franyutti De La Parra, president of the Los Cabos Convention & Visitors Bureau. "This new route serves as a testament to our destination's strong tourism economy and commitment to providing each visitor with an unmatched vacation experience."

Fares for the route will start at $159 before restrictions, taxes and fees.
