Virtuoso Announces Buenos Aires for 2013 Symposium

Virtuoso, a global network creating luxury travel experiences for its clientele and grossing over $9.6 billion it travel sales annually, will welcome its travel agency owner members and preferred travel providers to Buenos Aires, Argentina for its annual symposium, from April 21-25, 2013.

The event attracts more than 400 people from 33 countries, and revolves around networking opportunities between agency owners and senior executives from world leaders in luxury travel brands and unique providers, such as a private cocktail reception and dinner at the Bicentennial Museum, movie premiere at Faena Art Center, city tours, private shopping excursions, culinary experiences, tango lessons, and an inside look at Argentina’s favorite sport – polo.  The itinerary is also intended to facilitate a bond between Buenos Aires and curated Virtuoso travel providers.

Buenos Aires was selected from a handful of potential host cities following a written invite from President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.  In the past two years, Virtuoso developed a relationship with the Argentina National Institute of Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR), resulting in a seven percent rise in travel to the country, year over year.  Argentina was also named one of the top-five hottest international destinations for 2013 by Virtuoso’s Luxe Report.

This is the first time symposium will be held in South America.
