Westin's Plans to Open in Dominican Republic Still on Track

Representatives from the Westin Roco Ki Beach & Golf Resort sat down with Travel Agent on Thursday to discuss ongoing plans to open the new 337-room resort by May of 2008. It will be the first U.S.-branded resort in the region, says David H. Kerch, director of sales and marketing for Weston Hotels & Resorts, and will provide golf, a spa, seven restaurants and views of the ocean. Agents will not be able to book the property, until December, however. Read the August 20 issue of Travel Agent for a full property overview. Visit [www.westin.com/rocoki].
